Let's get started with SUMMER!

We love swimming lessons with Mr. Mark and Mr. Jeff.  Paul got better and jumping in and turning over to float, plus swimming under water!
We found a trampoline in good condition for cheap on a garage sale site, and these boys LOVE to be on it, whether it's 100 degrees or not. Plus they have discovered a way to combine their love of hot wheels too, so they usually are out there for an hour with break for drinks!
First grade party was the last day of school this year, he had a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Dawes, that helped him to succeed in all area.
 Wren, Ella, Paul and Autumn
 Paul and Tzuriel
 Popsicles anyone!
I brought him a balloon and Sonic for lunch, and then we were ready for summer to start!

Lego time!

Paul decided he wanted a Lego birthday party this year.  We searched Pinterest and come up with a few of our own ideas.  He invited the kids from his primary class and his best friend Kaelan to come celebrate.  We started out by watching The Lego Movie, then we opened presents.  After lunch of chicken nuggets and noodles(per the birthday boy's request), and Lego paper covered juice boxes.  each kid got a cake, some marshmallows, frosting and sprinkles to create their own Lego cake. We made our own Lego pinata, and the kids destroyed it to get the candy out.  We had a Lego building contest, then I let Paul open a few of his presents to play with his friends.  It was a great party!

Birthday boy - number 7!

Paul's one wish for his birthday this year was to go fishing.  I'm still not entirely certain where that came from, but we went with it.  Grandpa and Grandma Golding bought everything he needed for a successful fishing day and we found a kid's fishing event in our area. With a few tips from the pro's (ahem, not his parents) he was able to cast quite far - once even hooking someone else line from across the pond. It was a dream come true for him, and we have been several times since.

His birthday fell on Memorial Day this year, so we were able to celebrate on his birthday.   From us he got a watch, hot wheels track, superhero underwear, books, and a Lego set.

He got money from Grandma and Grandpa Miller, and Aunt Elaine and Uncle Gordon which he used to buy a remote control car.

May 2014

Having church be over at 11:30, leaves a LOT of time in the afternoon.  We decided to have a Lego vehicle building contest one afternoon.  It was epic.
This mothers day I got roses and chocolate dipped strawberries - my favorite!  Plus a yummy meal Jared made.  He is a wonderful experimental chef - I love when he cooks!
May also means field day, which is highly anticipated around our house.  It was very fun, we are lucky to be at such a great school!

April 2014

We were lucky to have grandma nae here for Easter this year.

Paul also had his musical program where he played the xylophone.  He was great, and we are sad that Mr. Chandler, the music teacher, is leaving Valley Ridge.

Field trip!

One of the best parts of my job is that it is pretty flexible, so I can go on field trips with Paul.  This year they went to the outdoor learning area.  It was really fun and a nice day weather wise.
Paul and Luke - they have been in the same class for 2 years now.
Writing in his journal.
Tzuriel and Paul ended up in the same class this year - even though they are in different primary classes at church

Spider web game, standing next to Ava and trying to confuse the spider in the middle.
Love this kid!
